Objectives
This Symposium was held from 26 March to 29 March 2006 to mark the official launch of the Centre. The Symposium aimed to discuss directions and strategies for research in the areas covered by the Centre including context, meaning, and modelling behaviour. It also provided an opportunity for participants to share the speakers¡¦ insights into how the study of meaning, and particularly of systems and discourse in language, contributed to any of the research areas that the speakers were personally concerned with.
